I also speak at events, big and small. Email me the details!
I receive invitations to speak at conferences and retreats (even give corporate devotions!) and I absolutely love it. I typically keep it casual, conversational and as interactive as possible. I have some favorite topics, of course, but am totally willing to work with whatever theme you’ve chosen for your event.
Sample topics:
The Why, What and How of Spiritual Gifts – Breaking down the importance of discovering your gifts and living your purpose. (3-part series)
Stay Together – Overcoming loneliness to foster true connection and community (2-part series)
Livin’ the Dream – Stop going through the motions and live with intention, joy and purpose
Picking up the Pieces – Heal from traumatic/tragic experiences and turn your misery into your ministry
Also, make sure you join my Facebook group for information on upcoming classes and workshops*!
Eat, Pray, LIVE!
The book and movie Eat, Pray, Love resonated with women everywhere because at one time or another we have all related to the main character. I’ve lost myself. I don’t know who I am anymore. It’s my turn to do something for ME. You’re right. You need to take this class. For 8 weeks we work on reclaiming our identities, making time for ourselves and things we love so we can find ourselves without losing everything else!
Divorce: The Best of Times, The Worst of Times
This 8-week course addresses the concerns and trauma surrounding divorce. Money, kids, dating, exes, there is much to navigate. Plus your Post-Divorce Brain Damage handicaps many important decisions that will affect you for the rest of your life. Let’s GET REAL and GET THROUGH IT together.
The Three I’s (Kids’ class!)
As a single mom, I found myself overwhelmed by the duties of parenting and keeping house with a toddler as my only roommate. Over a series of months, I ended up teaching my two-year-old what we now we refer to as the Three I’s. As westumbled through our new life together, I taught her integrity, initiative and independence, as the opportunities presented themselves. And what I found was that kids are MUCH more capable than we give them credit for. This 6-week course will be an interactive experience with your child where we will go over basic life skills: laundry, cooking, hygiene, etc. to implement independence and then discuss other ways to apply initiative and integrity into our lives.
Cannonball Parenting: Keeping the FUN in Dysfunctional
Parenting is hard work. We all know this. Discipline, school projects, after-school activities, manners, grades, friends. There’s so much we’re trying to get RIGHT that we often forget to laugh, make memories and connect. In this one-day workshop, we’ll find that Cannonball Parent in YOU.
The F-Word: Clarifying the Meaning and Means of Forgiveness
Nobody wants to talk about forgiveness. But we all need it and we all need to give it. Constantly. In this one-day workshop, we’ll walk through what forgiveness is and what it isn’t, the physical and mental health benefits of practicing forgiveness and how to wrestle through the BIG ONES.
*Workshops and seminars are also available for private groups. Let me know if you’d like to host one!
